Hello Lovelies!
As you may have saw, I wore the Betty Lane Sadie Shirt Dress to Sydney for the Best & Less Baby Berry Winter Launch and I felt SO AMAZING in it, that I decided to do a 1 Piece 3 Ways Blog on it.
It needs to be in your wardrobe and worn as many different ways as possible, because it’s seriously amazing (and is also coming in black… which I will also be getting and any other colour Tamara brings in!).
It’s a relaxed fit, the 12 was sold out so I went a 14 and honestly it still fits perfectly. I think oversized pieces are easy to buy as it doesn’t matter if you have to go down or up a size. I probably couldn’t go down to a 10 because of my bust would cause the buttons to gape, but if you’re not busty you definitely could.
The sleeves are elbow length and have a cuff, you can roll them up more if you want to, and the hemline is dipped at the back which makes it perfect for bending over to pick up wayward toddlers all day haha! There are so many ways you can dress this up or down… think white kicks, tan sandals, with a belt, jackets of all kinds, as a tunic, a dress and even a duster… it seriously is such a versatile piece!
Here are my three favourite styles:
LOOK 1:
This is my exact outfit from Sydney. The denim jacket is an oldie but you can get similar from Betty Lane (Emmy Denim Jacket) and the boots are last season, which you can find at MYER. The nappy bag is my gorgeous new OiOi Tan Slouch Tote Nappy Bag which has honestly kicked all my past baby bags into the corner in shame, it is AHMAZING. This outfit will be on repeat this season as it’s comfortable, practical, flattering and CUTE! I will also swap the boots for white sneakers for a more casual look.
LOOK 2:
Would it even be a Betty Lane outfit if it didn’t include a Blake Knit? I think not. The Blake Knit is actually how I first met Tam, when she was a private Instagram page with no online store! I was pregnant with Bambino and needed something comfy. And now I have *ahem* quite a collection of them! I’m wearing the Khaki and have actually tucked it into a belt at the front to create the shorter look. If you’d like me to do a video on how to do that let me know! I’ve paired this look with my super comfortable Vionic Shoes Leah Sneakers, they’re like walking on clouds, and a Sportsgirl Panama hat from last season.
LOOK 3:
I couldn’t help myself from going a but retro-cute with the Sadie Shirt Dress as a Duster, but it would look fabulous as a duster with a striped top tucked into high-waisted blue jeans and white kicks. I’m wearing my favourite Jeanswest Freeform 360 High Waisted Jeans and Kmart Espadrille Wedges that have now sold out but Vionic have a beautiful (and much more comfortable pair) called the Maris. I added an old Rubi/Cotton On leopard belt and Ally Fashion Hair scarf to complete the retro look.
So that was my top 3 looks, which was your favourite?
Or how would you style it?
